How are the Halloween preparations coming along? Have you picked out your costumes already... I'm sure you have had it in mind for quite some time. I hope this Halloween will be extra special and filled with goodies. I'm not sure where you are right now but hopefully if you're in a city then your trick and treating will be very lucrative. As much as we love living in the country it can be a little boring for kids since you have to drive to the houses to get your treats and there may not be a lot of houses close by. Here in Middle River we tend to make gift bags for the kids so they get 10 houses worth of candy in one place... well that's what we like to do anyway.
Our first year we did a haunted house for the kids (and the adults) and it was a lot of fun. This year we are participating in our friends haunted house, she really puts on quite a show and everyone loves it, it's like her Christmas. Angela always goes over board on the pumpkins and decorations but this year since there are so many parties happening we decided to just carve the pumpkins and skip the decorations besides it's been a busy season for us and it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the efforts of others sometimes.
I'll make sure to take pictures of our costumes and jack-o-lanterns and post them on your blog. Last year I was a zombie and Angela was a mummy, this year she has us going as Frankenstein and his bride... should be fun!
Zachary, this may be your last year since soon you'll be a teen and that's when most people think it's not cool to dress up and go door to door. I hope you have lots of fun this year and take care of your little sister because I know she is at the point where it's just getting to be a lot of fun for her.
I hope you are both very happy and settling in to your new life. I love you both very, very much and I'll write you a little later.
Miss you my little pumpkins!!!
Love Dad XOXOXOXOXOX
